Previously in Jamaica we had done the zip line, which was fun.   This time we went to Sandals for a beach day.  It was ok but I wouldn't recommend it.  The staff did not seem prepared for all the people on the excursion.  The welcome was vague with no map or many instructions about the facilities.  The buffet was about to close and was running out of food.  The beach grill did not have much variety.  The drinks were not very strong.  We found the best pool after talking with the guests staying there.  There weren't many non-motorized water toys and we were discouraged from using them even though they were supposed to be available.  We had a relaxing beach day but I thought it was very overpriced.
 
Other Jamaican tours (as told to us by other passengers).  The people without tours who just went into town to shop were harassed and did not really have a good time.  There were reports of people who went to Margaritaville and used credit cards the next day had unauthorized charges already showing up on their cards.  The Appleton Rum tour sounded like it was a blast and if we go back we will try that excursion. 


Montego Bay

We have been to Grand Cayman several times.  This time we took the Reef and Ray tour.  It was really good.  The tour guide was fun, the reef had nice snorkeling with outstanding coral, and we were there a good amount of time.  The rays were enjoyable and everyone had plenty of opportunities to touch them.  The drinks were fairly priced, as were the souvenirs.  I would recommend this tour. 
 
After the tour was over we had time to eat lunch and shop a little.  Then we went to Eden Rock to snorkel for an hour before catching the tender.  Next time we will just stay at Eden Rock.  As soon as we were in the water we saw a bunch of large tarpon and so many other fish it was like being in an aquarium.  We even saw a turtle.  It made for a fabulous time in Grand Cayman.

We also spent time each sea day playing bingo (didn't win), playing different games such as trivia, numbers game (won my ship on the stick), slot tournament (came in second), and miniature golf (hole in one for me).The tour guide was fun, the reef had nice snorkeling with outstanding coral, and we were there a good amount of time.
