Sail Date: Sep 2016

My wife and I chose this cruise for it's location and it's ports. After having sailed with Viking on the Danube River cruise we felt it would be an excellent way to enjoy the Mediterranean countries. Our room and balcony fit our needs. We had a standard size room with enough space to be comfortable. Viking provides excellent toiletries and a hair dryer which helps when packing to go over seas.

The food was outstanding. The ship offers various places to dine, with many options of food. My wife is a vegetarian and never felt hungry or that the food selection was limited for her. Each dish was fresh and very tasty. One of the highlights was the special luncheons that were served reflecting the port we were in. Italian, Greek, a little French, for example. Another extra was the afternoon tea. A very relaxing way to meet new people, relax, listen to nice classical music and be pampered with the delicate scones and tea trays, provided at no extra cost.

The housekeeping service was extremely good. Precious, the young lady who provided the care for our room was a delight to interact with and made us feel as if we were the only people she was serving. No matter what we asked for, extra hangers, an occasional extra towel, it was done quickly and with pleasure.
