I chose this cruise as a last minute getaway. I bought the tickets four days before sailing. I like the itinerary with 5 nights and the last minute pricing was very good. We sailed from Miami to Key West and took in the day there. It was not my first time there so we knew what we wanted to do and had a great time scuba diving the reef and shopping Duval St. After a day relaxing at sea we did some cave diving in Playa de Carmen after making port in Cozumel. We wish we had a little more time for shopping but the excursion took all 8 hrs so it means we will just have to go back. While in port at Cozumel the Capt. Explains hurricane Matthew is slowing down over Cuba and the Bahamas and Miami is shutting down the airport and sea port so we have to have a free day in Costa Maya just south of Cozumel.

Of course no one complained, the staff did a great job of keeping the guests informed and allowing access to phone and internet to schedule our travel home one we made port Friday afternoon. As far as the cruise itself, like the Royal Caribbean cruises I have been on before, I was left with a great impression, had a lot of fun and have already scheduled my next 10 day cruise with RC next April.

Cabin Review

Cabin Supior Ocean View

The cabin was exactly as I expected, the setup was walk in with the bathroom on your right, closet on the left bed at the end of the room against the window. This made breakfast very nice as there was plenty of room on the window shelf to put your plate to enjoy your meal while watching the sunrise.

Port Reviews

Costa Maya

This port have a ton of potential when it is finished being built. We were there only 14 days after the main tiki bar opened. With a lot of attractions, shops and excursions this port will explode with guests in another 6 months or so when they finish building it.
