I have been on over 10 cruises and have to say that this is one of my favorites. Both embarkation and debarkation were effortless. But, do have all of your preboarding documents and customs forms ready to expedite processing.
Reading other Cruise Critic reviews gave me some valuable pointers. First, book all of your dining and show reservations before boarding or as soon as you get on board. You will be glad you did as all fill up quickly. Doing so allowed us to attend all of our desired shows and restaurants. Speaking of shows, the After Midnite show was one of the best I've ever seen on board. The cast got a standing ovation from the entire audience, so do catch it if you can. The Brat Pack was also good--based on John Hughes movies. So if you are a "Breakfast Club" fan, you will enjoy it. We also saw Brenda Kay (hypnotist) and the comedy show with Aaron and Rodney.
We purchased the 3-specialty restaurant dining package ($80 per person). We ate at Cagneys', Moderno and Teppanyaki on our sea days. All of these meals were delicious. The steak at Cagneys is to die for! We also ate at Food Republic, twice devouring the sushi. It is ala carte, so a meal for two came up to less than $20. For the other meals, we ate in the buffet and in the Manhattan dining room. The meals there were good, but we experienced delayed service in the dining room both times we ate there.
Nice size cabin and bathroom. Mike, our steward, did an exceptional job keeping our cabin clean and towels exchanged. The bathroom has a good size shower with a massaging shower head. Our agent picked this cabin for us because of my husband's tendency to get seasick. He never once got sick--due to the size of the boat, room location and overall good weather.
