This was our second cruise with Royal Caribbean following a very disappointing experience on Navigator of the Seas in May this year.
Our inside stateroom, 7227, was adequate although showing some signs of requiring an update. A few more coat hangers would have been useful but when I asked our stateroom attendant, Carmen, for an extra pillow it was provided without any problem. Carmen was lovely and extremely polite and helpful.
We chose My Time dining although we did eat in the Windjammer a number of evenings as there was nothing that we particularly wanted to eat in the Romeo and Juliet dining room. We did visit Johnny Rockets on two evenings and the food and service in there was excellent. On the whole we found the drinks and goods in the 'duty free' shops to be rather expensive.
The Roman Festival in Cartagena was a very unexpected and interesting event to watch.
Barcelona was very busy due to there being 4 cruise ships in port and the Murcia Festival taking place but the city was wonderful as usual.
The shuttle bus dropped us quite a way from the cathedral which did rather spoil the day but the city and the cathedral was beautiful.
We didn't go ashore.
We had a lovely walk along the marina into the busy city centre. Plenty of bars and cafes.
Cadiz has a wonderful market which we hadn't visited before. The public gardens are certainly worth a visit.
The city was busy as there were two other ships in port. We decided that we would take a tuc-tuc trip and went to parts of the city we hadn't visited before.
