I thought we would be sorry for booking The Sky(read some of the bad comments) to the Bahamas but boy was I wrong.  We we're on the 4 day cruise. The weather couldn't have been better the entire trip. First let me tell you we flew in Fort Lauderdale airport because it was cheaper from where we live.  We took the GO transportation from Airport only $21.00 a person to get to the hotel we booked for Sunday night. We stayed at Holiday in right across street from Bayside (shopping area and restaurants). It was a very nice hotel and a great view. You could see some of the cruise ships from our window on 5th floor.

Finally embarkation day.  Couldn't have been easier. They didn't let anyone on till 12:00 so after we checked in we had to wait a little while to get on ship. The gave out numbers at check in and we had section 1 so we got on 1st. The staff took your picture and then you walked up to put your card in machine and had to sanitize your hands and then we we're on.  The staff was right there with champayne and directed you towards dazzles bar.  Our room was already ready due to the fact the ship was in dry dock before our cruise.

I will say the room was very small but thanks to the balcony we had it was managable.  The bathroom was very small.  There was however enough places to put all tolietry items.  The shower was very small and make sure you check water before going in because it can get very hot.  Our cabin stewart was the best. He was very friendly always asked how we were, if we had a good day off ship and if there was anything he could get us.  He did 4 towel animals and we had mints at turndown.  If you need anything ironed make sure to do it first night as it is half price. They will not bring a iron to your room.

We made reservations when we got on the ship. You can do it on deck 5 or at the individual restaurants. We decided on Le Bistro(the second night) and the Italian restaurant on deck 11(the 3rd night).  The first night we ate at the palace restaurant. The food was good and they had a few choices. (The food was not as bad as some made it out to be). You could always find something you could eat.  The first morning we went to breakfast at The Palace because it was for people who had balconies or higher. You could get eggs to order plus the had some buffet items. The only problem we had was that the cream they served for the coffee was sour. They said they were so sorry changed everybodies cream and then sent chocolate covered strawberries to our room the next day.

At Le Bistro we were celebrating our 30th anniversay. The dinner was good. I had a steak and my husband had lamp chops. This restaurant is a extra charge $20.00 and some things on the menu are even extra I think $10.00 more. We just ate what the was include the $20.00. They brought over a small anniversary cake and sang Let me call you sweetheart to us. Took the cake with us to our room as we were so full from dinner. The Italian restaurant was Ok but the table we were at was so small.  The food was good especially the chicken parmigiana. This costs $10.00 extra.  The buffets were OK but had some of the same things everyday.  They had hamburgers and hot dogs in the afternoon which was good.  They had the best chocolate cookies  and chocolate chip cookies.

The entertainment was very good.  We went to all the shows at night and they were very entertaining.  If you get Matt Baker cruise director on cruise he is very good.  Go to the adults only program on the last night of the cruise it is very funny. You'll Have a "goood" time.  The comedian/magician from Las Vegas was very Funny.  We didn't do any of the bingos but we went and watched one day. Bingo was very expensive.  The casino wasn't that crowded any time we went in there. We were able to play a slot machine or a table game without to much trouble. The roulette was always very crowded.  Sign up for there card because you can get $20.00 free slot machine with it plus some other things.

Disembarkation- we took our luggage off with us.  We went to breakfast buffet about 7:30 went back to our room got luggage and walk off the ship. No lines at all that was a first for us.  Couldn't believe how easy it was.  The only thing I thought was that the customs  didn't believe us when we only spent $50.00 in the Bahamas. Don't drink or smoke so had none of that. She finally said Ok. We rented a car to go back to Ft. lauderdale because we had a whole day before our flight. Glad we did.

Hope this helps future cruisers because the Sky was a great cruise.

Cabin review: Mid-Ship Balcony

Port and Shore Excursions

Didn't take a excursion off ship. We took a ferry over to Paradise Island to see the Atlantis and was well worth it.
