This was my first River Cruise after doing dozens of ocean cruises. It was a Rhine River Cruise from Basel, Switzerland to Amsterdam. Viking was fabulous. Terrific service throughout the cruise and also with the pre-cruise and post-cruise optional stays in Basel and Amsterdam. The ship's crew and ground staff were top notch, very professional and highly courteous. The daily excursions were all excellent with professional guides throughout. The food service and dining arrangements were excellent as well. We had a group of about twenty people traveling with us from the United States and all of us were very impressed with Viking and its staff from the reservations process through and until the last day of the our stay in Europe with Viking's chosen hotels. Viking's pre-cruise information documents package and their informational videos were also very professionally done and helpful for planning and preparing for the trip and the numerous destinations along the river. Viking River Cruises is excellent and I would definitely cruise with Viking again!
