I went on this cruise with my parents in late September. Arriving from Chicago, we had arranged for a RC transfer to the ship. That went well. Checking in at the port was more chaotic than I expected. We had to put some tracking device sticker onto the back of our Set Sail Pass to help locate our luggage if it became lost. Then, without being told, we needed to find people in aqua tops to check us in. (If my parents hadn't been on board just a few months earlier, we wouldn't have known this.) We walked into the terminal and saw different groups of people in different spots and no signs indicating where we should go. So we had to find someone to give us direction. All of the staff at the port were helpful.

As always on embarking it was hard to find anyplace to sit in the Windjammer. My parents weren't interested in any of the other options though. But in the end we found a place to sit. The food was ok. My Mom had a hamburger and said it was really good.

At dinner time, I learned that there were no reservations made for either of my parents even though I had most assuredly made them for all 3 of us. Our first night was at Icon. I can't begin to tell you what a noisy mess that was!! My poor Dad turned off his hearing aids because the cacophony was SO loud. I absolutely would discourage anyone from eating there unless you are fond of lots of noise. Maybe because of their snafu with our reservations, we often found ourselves at the worst tables in the restaurants. In addition sometimes we would start with one waiter and then another and then another. There was no consistency. The food at Grande, Silk and Icon was good. We had a prime rib at one of the restaurants that was "like butter" to cut. The mains were all good; no complaints. Desserts were boring and repetitious and the breads were pretty boring too. The morning pastries were really dried out.Yuck.

Boston

All day touring Cape Cod. A very enjoyable trip.

Halifax

Walked around on my own. Lovely day. Lovely people. Ended with a flight at Garrison's Brewery right across the street.

Portland (Maine)

DIY. I walked about the old town by myself. Stood in line at Holy Donut and enjoyed a delicious donut. Toured their art museum. Strolled about and ended my day at Shipyard Brewing where I got a flight of 4 awesome beers for $4!
