Beautiful food

From the time we landed in Munich to our debarkation in Budapest, Viking handled everything smoothly and seamlessly. Our hotel rooms in Munich and Salzburg were extraordinarily good, and the cabin aboard the Viking Legend was comfortable and convenient. The food was delicious and well presented, with an interesting variety of local fare, served with bottomless glasses and cups of beverages of our choice. The staff was not only professional and efficient, but they seemed to truly enjoy their work, indicating to me that they are well taken care of by their employers. No personal request was held to be inconvenient to them. Our tours and excursions were guided by local people in every port, so they knew their subjects intimately. The drivers were smooth, efficient, and personable. Onboard entertainment was interesting, too, though the lounge entertainer for cocktail hour and evening hours was rather too schmaltzy for our taste. We also had plenty of time to wander in each port and to hang out onboard, so we were neither over-stimulated nor bored. It was an ideal vacation, the best we've ever had, and I look forward to cruising with Viking again.
