The treatment of the guests on the Viking Hemming was superb! We wanted for nothing - even things we didn't know we wanted were taken care of. Our guide, the waiters, the whole staff was friendly and engaging. And genuinely seemed happy to be helping. The food was delicious. I have a gluten allergy and was constantly surprised by the maitre 'd with GF pasta, bread and "special desserts." I would take another Viking cruise in a heartbeat. The Duoro River Portugal is beautiful! We had no idea it would be so green and lush. The sights were interesting - and there was always plenty planned for us to do. Loved our day excursion to Salamanca. Only wish we had more time to explore that city. We extended the trip with two extra days in Santiago de Compostela, Spain and still had a Viking presence there to help us with all of our needs. On the way home, a guide helped us maneuver the Madrid airport - which is like a city in itself. He even stood in line for us! It was a trip to remember. Can't wait to do another one.

Standard Outside Stateroom

Perfectly comfortable for the size. Really only went to our cabin to sleep and unwind a little. It was perfectly adequate. We didn't opt for the balcony room and we were completely satisfied. Plenty of balcony on the deck!
