After reviewing many cruise lines, we chose the Emerld Dawn's "Danube Delights" because it suited our wish to combine a River cruise with the Octoberfest in Munich. We couldn't have been more pleased with our choice. The itinerary was excellent; active if we wanted, laid back when we needed it. The shore excursions were all very interesting and enjoyable. One of the best things was unpacking once and then, unhurriedly, travelling through four countries without the need to live out of a suitcase as would be required if on a coach tour. The dinner selections were fabulous and tied to the various locations on the cruise. The entertainment, especially when local musicians were brought on board, was amazing. Service was impeccable. We met many people from Canada, America, Britain and Australia, all very convivial travelling companions. We would not hesitate to recommend Emerld Waterways and hope to travel with them again.
