As the title suggests this cruise was ok, but could have been so much better ....I felt like we were being exploited for the whole week. I appreciate these are cutthroat times for the cruise industry but please stop trying to rip off your guests it's really irritating. It all started badly with the absolute mayhem that is Venice airport, there were at least three cruise lines meeting passengers , blocking pathways, demanding print outs of vouchers etc. Took ages to get on transfer bus. Check in very rapid, we could not then embark for another two hours- no reason given. When we finally got on board we had two unopened bottles of water confiscated with the excuse that we must buy it on board- $8 a bottle plus an 18% service charge " for our convenience" no thanks.
Balcony cabin deck 9 forward...smallest we've ever had in 10+ cruises, tiny bathroom, very clean, cabin steward friendly.
Food ok, although by end of week had a feel of "what's left in the fridge?" Liked the freedom dining aspect. Didn't try the specialty restaurants.
Smallest balcony cabin we've ever had.Tiny bathroom was a struggle to shower, clean teeth etc.
Ample clothes storage, but no other room to put anything.
Ok, didn't really like Athens...glad I've done it, Sen the Parthenon- main aim.
