I received a call from Grand Bahama Cruise Line. They were offering a 2 night cruise for 2 for $118, inside cabin. Leave Port of Palm and cruise to Grand Bahama Island. When I booked the cruise I received a call from our "agent" who works for the time share company. He was the rudest man I've ever talked to. He's name was Brian and if I knew his last name I would post it. He was extremly hard to get in contact with him. I wanted to know more info about the cruise, where to go, how to get to the port etc. When he finally answered the phone he immediately tried to rush me off with an attitude. He demanded that I had to pick up my boarding pass at the Welcome Center in Fort Lauderdale which is over an hour away from the port. I almost canceled the cruise because of him but I had already purchased the plan tickets. I called the actual customer service who works for Grand Celebration cruise line and they told me I didn't need a boarding pass, just have the required id and I could board. This was such a relief.

So about the ship... The ship is old, one of the smallest and outdated cruise ships I've been on. The room size wasn't bad. The workers are wonderful, everyone is very helpful and will do anything for you. Beware of the hidden charges. Everything cost even some of the entertainment. We sailed to Freeport which is very industrial. There is no beach that's walking distance. Basically the ship docks at a shipyard 20 min away from an actual beach. You either take your chances and call a taxi to take you somewhere or pay $61a person to take you to a beach on a bus, which is what we ended up doing. The bus took us to a "private beach" . This was the only excursion worth the money. The food on the cruise is average. I wouldn't recommend this cruise to any first time cruisers. Maybe for people who live in Florida and they want a quick trip but paying money for a plan ticket plus all the hidden fees this cruise cost me too much money. Next time I'll stick with Carnival or Royal Caribbean.

Cabin Review

The cabin size was surprissingly bigger than I thought. Bathroom was okay with good water pressure. They do need to clean the carpets. Dirty staines everywhere.
