We (myself, 20 and DF, 20) sailed aboard the Disney Magic for an Eastern Caribbean cruise May 9-16.  A little background on us: We have cruised before, 3 times on Carnival and once on Princess.  We love Disney and decided to try DCL after finding some great Florida Resident rates.

We live in Central Florida so we had family members drop us off at the port.  We were dropped off at 1:20 and walked onto the ship at exactly 1:30.  I was amazed at how easy embarkation was.  We did the online check-in (highly recommended) so all we had to do when we got into the terminal was fill out the health questionnaire.  We received our KTTW cards and proceeded onto the ship.  I really liked how they announced your family name as you walked onto the ship.  It was a nice personal touch.  The people at the entrance were very friendly and helpful.  Since it was 1:30 they pointed us to our stateroom before we headed to lunch.

The stateroom was much bigger than I expected.  We had a Category 11 inside stateroom and it was much roomier than Carnival or Princess.  The location on Deck 5 aft was also very convenient to the dining rooms (Decks 3 and 4) and the drink station on Deck 9.  Our room host, Jojo was amazing.  I barely saw him but he fulfilled every request in a timely manner and kept our room looking beautiful.  I was slightly worried that the ships size was going to have a negative impact since I have sailed smaller ships before and had issues but it was never a problem.  We only really felt the ship moving on the first night.  Since the ship was smaller it was easy to navigate but didn't seem crowded.  One thing I must say is the ship was SPOTLESS. I have never seen a crew working harder to keep something clean.  It is also nicely decorated with subtle hints of Disney.  I don't think it is showing its age in any way.
