Cabin: Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

We have just come back from 2 weeks on the Navigator and we really loved this boat, there is plenty to do and lots of room, we had a balcony cabin and it was one of the best cabins we have ever had on a cruise, plenty of hanging space and lots of drawers and cupboards. The bathroom is small and you only get soap and towels, you get no shampoo, conditioner or anything else. The boat is a bit tatty in places but we thought it added to its charm.

The food was outstanding both in the main dinning room and the windjammer, the crew were exceptional and very helpful at all times. Check in at Southampton was fast and very simple. I really enjoyed our holiday but the problem is with Royal Caribbean is the price of everything on board and you have to buy everything including bottles of water $2.95 for a small bottle $4.95 for a large bottle. We had two bottles of wine at dinner $129 and they were about the cheapest wines. If you buy the drinks packages be careful it may not include the drink you want. There is no slim tonic and all mixers come from a pump not a bottle or can, but you are paying a top price for that drink. They give you nothing other than a room, food and entertainment and some of that you have to pay for. The was very little information in the cabin about the boat most of it is interactive on the TV or screens near the lift. If you do a long cruise there is no laundrette and it was $30 for a bag of washing and that was no ironing.

The price of drinks is very expensive once you add the 18% gratuity to every drink plus they added a further 10% tax for being in Spanish waters!!! They also want you to pay $13.50 per person, per day gratuity they say this goes to the crew! What about the millions you have paid to go on the ship in the first place. There is no luxury on these cruises they are very functional and my view is stack them high sell them cheap but rip you off once on board, and where can you go, now where
