. On behalf of myself and 3 fellow passengers, I would like to inform you of some of the positives and negatives of our cruise. The last Royal cruise I sailed on was Liberty of the Seas and loved it, so I was very excited to experience and recommend sailing on “The Oasis” to my friends to share the experience with me. Unfortunately, it did not turn out as wonderful as any of us had hoped. The boarding process was great, very quick and easy; however, once on the ship there were no handouts available and no one was directing us where to go or could answer any questions.

When our luggage arrived at our cabins, one of my companion’s new luggage was delivered missing a wheel (which really wasn’t a surprise after watching how the baggage handlers mishandled and threw the luggage). This was the beginning of our problems and frustration. We were first inconvenienced having to go to Guest Services and fill out a report and then wait in the cabin for someone to come investigate the damage, however, the cruise line made good and replaced it with a new suitcase.

On the ship, trying to figure out how to get around and where information was available was very frustrating. We found the TV communication system to be a hassle, frustrating and difficult to find the answers to our questions. When I checked my account on this system, I realized I did not receive the credit I was promised. I went to Guest Services where after waiting on a long line and wasting about 40 minutes working with a rep, I was promised that it had been corrected and would show up in about 3 – 4 days. After waiting a few days and it still not being posted, I went again to Guest Services and a day after that again, total 3 times. Finally, Thursday late afternoon (cruise ended Saturday morning) I got my credit. Furthermore, I had booked the cruise for myself and the others almost a year ago, they all had gotten the onboard credit, the first Guest Services Rep asked to see my booking invoice. Ridiculous!
