Like ocean sailing so thought would try river cruising, first will be the last. Boat and crew were great. Being from the U.S.A. ice is a requirement in stateroom, not on the Star, you could go to bar and get a glass full. The mini fridge stuff didn't get used. The 50 locks on the 172 km Mein were overkill and Sun Deck unusable for several days. Had to keep drapes closed when docked due being along side another boat or traffic on shore. The port and tour portion was good but think I will stay with the big ships, more my style and liking. The crew members were xlnt both in performance and manners. The dining was good with light breakfast and lunch available in the lounge, selection was good and wine was great. Having to walk thru other boat to get ashore was a drag but you do what you haveto do.
