We chose the Avalon Paris to Normandy cruise primarily because we wanted to see and learn more about Normandy. It didn't hurt to have Paris included though !

My husband and I felt this was an outstanding experience. The staff on board were not only very professional but also made us feel very comfortable, were knowledgeable, patient, attended to every detail and had a great sense of humor (that made big points for us!). The tour guides for both the included excursions and the optional excursions were outstanding. The cabins were very comfortable, well supplied and beautifully taken care of, there was a great variety of food and choices (all delicious) and the ports of call were wonderful. Except for Normandy and Paris we didn't know anything about the others ports and really enjoyed seeing them and experiencing the towns, people and history. All of us were amazed at the Captain and crew's ability to navigate the 6 locks that we went through too! What skill!!!

I need to mention that one of our group had difficulty walking yet there were options for him (and his wife) that made it possible for both of them to have the time of their lives. Additionally, I have a fish allergy. The staff made a big point of coming to me at all meals to make sure that I was aware of anything that had anything remotely resembling fish.
