My wife and I have cruised over 50 times and we wanted to just get away for a week. The last time we cruised on Princess, we did the British Isles, 5 yrs ago and had a great time. So we decided to take the new Regal Princess. We chose a Owners Suite for extra comfort and convenience.

We took Uber from central NJ. It cost us $107 dollars as opposed to a car service that wanted over $220, one way. Getting on and off the ship was the easiest experience of other cruises in the past. We arrived at the pier at noon. The complete security and check in took 20 minutes and we were on the ship by 12:20pm. We had lunch at Alfredo's and were in our suite by 1:30pm. Conversely when we got off the ship, at 8:15am, we took a car service located by the taxi stands and were home within an hour. $150.00 including tolls and tips. We had the muster drill at 4:15pm and were ready to go by 5:30pm.

We normally only eat in the specialty restaurants, since the food in the MDR can be less than just fair. This time we ate only three times in the specialty restaurants, because the food and service was very good. We had anytime dining and our table was ready for us each evening between 7:30pm and 8:00pm. We ate twice in the Crown Steak House and once in Sabbitini's. Both were very good. But no matter where we ate, nobody rushed us. We ordered a drink before getting the menus and there was no push to rush us out.

Cabin Review

Owner's Suite with Balcony

Cabin S2

The cabin was fine. On the next update, I would consider two toilets, instead of just one. Never received appetizers every day. Should assign more than one attendant to freshen up suite. Need to clean balcony every day. Not just when we request it.
