Background information

My wife and I (30-somethings) sailed with our in-laws. I have been on about 24 cruises and my wife about 10. This was the second cruise for my in-laws.

Interior Stateroom with Virtual Balcony

Cabin J

Great cabin overall. No weird noises or smells. We liked not having a love seat in the room, which generally takes up too much space. Instead, there is a chair and ottoman. The virtual balcony was nice, but we only ever had a view of the aft of the ship, and after about the third day, there was water on the lens which obstructed the views. My in-laws were next door, and their view changed occasionally... not just of the aft. We asked our steward about changing the view, but he didn't know how to do so.

Port Reviews

Juneau

We hiked up Mt. Roberts and would recommend this to any active folks.

Skagway

Great port - we hiked Lower Dewey Lake. Great hike! Check out the quaint downtown.

Victoria

Butchart Gardens is excellent. Also be sure to spend some time walking around downtown.

Seattle

Great port! Must check out the Pike Place Market!
