Port Reviews

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata)

Our first stop was the Dominican Republic (Amber Cove). We chose to not schedule an excursion here and instead our group of 7 just found a cab right off the pier for $90 total for the day. Luis, our driver too us all over the city to an Amber Museum, rum factory, chocolate factory, and a delicious local restaurant. Other than the food, total cost was about $15 dollars a person. No way you are getting a better deal at this port. FAIR WARNING : If you are a nervous person the driving here may scare the crap out of you. It was nothing for a few of us who have been in the middle east but some of the girls were very scared at times.

San Juan

Third stop was San Juan. We literally walked the city for 5-6 hours. This was everyone's favorite place. So much to see. The food was amazing, good shopping, awesome forts to explore.
