We chose the Grand Princess because several of our other friends took this very same cruise and recommended it. We loved every minute of our experience from the day we boarded the ship in San Francisco (and how easy Princess makes it), until we docked 10 days later, again in San Francisco. We loved sailing out of San Francsico - didn't have to fly anywhere. Our balcony room on the 10th floor was wonderful and the beds and pillows were the best. We travelled with friends, who were in the room right next to us. None of us wanted the cruise to end!! We had anytime dining and frequented DaVincci's, where we had our favorite waiter. The service and the food were extraordinary, and we ate there almost everyday for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We did go to The Crown Grill, and all four of us thought the food there was the best ever!! We also were fortunate enough to be invited to the Chef's Table, and that was the experience of a lifetime. We plan to sign up for this on all our future cruises. The service and food were beyond words, and to experience an opportunity such as this was so amazing. The BEST ever!! The chef and the maitre'd were warm, caring and friendly. We enjoyed the Crooner Bar and again, had our favorite waiter there, who treated us like royalty. Our room steward was wonderful and we couldn't have asked for anything more! Will we do it again: Yes, yes, yes!! Thank you Grand Princess and to all the staff, THE BEST EVER! This was our second cruise.
