This was our second cruise on the Allure, we are Diamond C&A and have cruised other lines. I'll summarize briefly, but overall, this was a sensational first President's Cruise and we had a marvelous time. Embarkation was a breeze, we were on the ship in 5 minutes, where we were greeted with champagne. Went to the Windjammer for lunch. It is too small and the food was just okay, but adequate. When we left, it was hard to exit because of the crowds of people lined up to get in. After that, we chose other dining options. The dining room or Johnny Rockets for breakfast, Park Cafe or Sabor's for lunch. These were all great.

We did MyTime dining every night, the service was excellent, the food a bit disappointing. We are not fussy eaters, but the food seemed more "cafeteria" and less fine dining. We were happy to have the same table every night. Our balcony cabin on deck 6 was good sized and comfortable, and our cabin attendant, Ingram, was friendly and helpful. As part of the President's cruise, we found little gifts every night on our bed at turndown. The activities and entertainment planned for this cruise were outstanding. Mamma Mia was wonderful, as were the Aqua and Ice shows. Comedians were great. The special Patti LaBelle concert was disappointing. The band, while great, drowned out Patti, you could barely hear her. The Beatlemaniacs and Wild Boys were great. There was always something to do, too many choices, thank you RCCL! Many nice prizes from RCCL and Cruise Critic were raffled at the Meet & Mingle, which was fun. The President of RCCL, Michael Bayley, participated in many activities. We especially enjoyed the Chef's Challenge. The week passed much too quickly and we were sorry when the party ended. Disembarkation was easy and moved very quickly, very organized. In summary:

PROS: SERVICE & ENTERTAINMENT!

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D8

Cabin was a good size with adequate storage. Clean, quiet and comfortable with a large flat screen tv. Not enough counter space in bathroom. Balcony was a nice size with 2 comfortable chairs and small table. Excellent service!
