Cabin: Deluxe Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Last cruise was almost 20 years ago so we are newbies to cruising. Embarkation and disembarkation were both very smooth with no waiting. We boarded around noon and cabins were ready by 1:00 pm. Our luggage was waiting for us when we arrived. Disembarkation was super well organized! The service was good everywhere but the cafe could have used another one or two more staff, especially in the mornings. There were lineups every morning and usually only one person serving.

We found the ship nice without the WOW factor. The cabins were clean and compact as expected. There was ample storage space and shelving. We had my time dining and enjoyed our meals - the service was excellent! The Windjammer had a very nice assortment of food, all very good.

The entertainment was a bit of a disappointment. The piano player in the Schooner Bar sang and he really did not have a good voice. The guitar player was excellent. The house bands were very good also. The Safari Bar was under utilized - it's lovely and large with comfortable seating but only used a couple of nights for karaoke. Whereas the Centrum lobby bar had live music every night but the seating was very limited. There were a few decent evening shows in the Coral theatre but nowhere near the level we were expecting.

Port Reviews

Kusadasi

We hired a taxi to take us to Ephesus for the day and visited the house of the Virgin Mary, the ruins, and a market for souvenirs. It was only 60 € and worth every penny!

Athens (Piraeus)

Once in port we took the water taxi to Oia then the bus to Fira and the cable car down to the port all included for 25€. Beautiful scenery and views! Lunch at O'kostas was amazing, high up overlooking the sea and cruise ships.

Santorini

Beautiful port with outstanding views!
