This was our 7th Carnival cruise. There has been a group of about 8 couples who have been trying to make this an every 2 year trip. My husband and I have made it a little more often with some or all from the group. We really noticed the cruise director was one of the best we have ever experience. She was approachable and involved in all of the activities we attended, she kept everyone informed with daily announcements. In the past we never saw or heard the cruise director once. We also had an amazing room steward and great waiters. As always the comedians are awesome!! The dinning room experience was excellent always on task, personable and on top of everything. Knew our name a fun group to see every evening. The steak house was a little more uptight and did not even come close to the service offered in the dinning room. (and we paid extra for this experience) The steak house was not busy at the 5:30 dinner slot and the amount of service needed for them was nothing compared to the wait staff in the dinning area. Steak house was not a happy or personable group of people. Also there was a strict dress code, I saw them ask a man to change his nice pressed shorts to pants as a woman in stretch pants and wife beater type tank top came in for dinner. I am sure that rubbed him and his party the wrong way.

The new app to see the daily schedule was a great addition,but we did not use the chat as it was an extra fee.

The ONLY and BIGGEST complaint the groups of us have every time is the fees for the photos, the amount of photos that are being printed and wasted is sad this is were I feel "we" the customer are really being taken advantage of .
