We wanted a river cruise, had already ventured to Eastern Europe, so the Rhine was a very good choice for us. While some people think it not terribly scenic, we loved it. Our ship was not one of the newer ones and we were a bit concerned about that....but it was very clean and extremely well cared for, a very good experience. The cities along the Rhine were clean, historic and very interesting, the included excursions just right. We could walk in the afternoon or take an additional excursion. The food choices and quality were excellent. we tacked on a Monograms trip to Paris and London, which was also wonderful, while not inexpensive, having the transfers was a tremendous advantage, the high speed trains were very good and hotels excellent. The location of the Westminster Park Plaza was just wonderful and allowed us to easily venture every day. In fact, we have recommended this cruise with add-on trip to a number of people, one of which is finishing her vacation right now. We loved and would recommend this cruise and Monograms semi guided tour add-on!
