We loved the ship and the cruise to some of the most interesting destinations we have visited. We loved the Koningsdam. Of course some of the interior design, sculptures and wall art would benefit from some interpretation. Not every light fitting or piece of art was to our taste. But hey, HAL didn't need to personally consult us prior to launching the ship. You can't please everyone.

Dining . The Lido Buffet. We thought it was the best buffet we have seen on a ship and the food was quite good. We avoid the Lido as you don't dine here you feed. Getting your food to your table is like making your way through a flock of seagulls all flying in different directions. You will never be bored here. Just read the T shirts of your fellow cruisers to learn their favourite beer, car, or club. You can even read their philosophical view of life.

The Main Dining Rooms. Here you dine in something at least resembling a fine dining experience. We thought the food was very good. There were a few misses but far more hits.
