My wife and I had high expectations for this cruise. We had booked a cabin midship, and 2 weeks before sailing Princess call to ask if we would like to upgrade to the suite at the back of the ship for $1100 per person. We were excited.
Once we boarded, on about the 3rd day, the cabin started rattling and shaking and making sleeping and relaxing impossible. The so called 'deck' was a disgrace. Never varnished, holes in the walls, rust and bare cabling falling down and no privacy from the suite next door. The cabin vibrated so much, it sounded like a resident woodpecker. I ended up by stuffing towels and pillows all over the show to stop the noise.
Reporting to the Hotel Manager and Customer Service Manager was met with little desire and satisfaction to try alleviate the problems. The main excuse is they are at sea and have little resources to do these repairs.
A Motel 6 is fantastic in comparison to this cabin. they even leave the light on.
