This was our second cruise with Celebrity. Our group comprised my husband and I and our 21 year old son and 19 year old daughter. The itinerary was marvellous, we loved all the ports. "Connie" was great but not quite as good as Equinox. Felt a bit tired and dated and definitely more crowded somehow. A MUCH older crowd on board, again different to last year's cruise. I think this may have been down to the timing of the cruise.

We upgraded to Aqua class for this cruise and I'm not sure if that was worth it. Eating in Blu was the main perk and Blu was brilliant, however the first 2 nights we waited an hour and almost an hour for a table. Upon complaining - this didn't happen again, we were seated promptly but all over the restaurant so we did not build up much of a rapport with waiters etc.. which was a pity. We mourned the loss of formal night. On one of the formal nights whilst eating in Blu my husband and son sat in dinner jackets and on the next table was a gentleman in jeans and polo shirt. Formal nights are now called something like "Casual Chic" euphemism for "anything goes". My advice is to treat all the nights in the same way as far as dress goes.

We love the ship organised tour excursions for the quality of the tour guides, really excellent. However our fellow guests were another matter. There would be a great rush to get on the coach and we were always near the back of the coach which was absolutely fine except that others at the back ignored the commentary and talked (loudly) making it difficult to follow the commentary! One hoped to get nearer the front on the return journey to enjoy the return commentary however passengers reserved their seats. This exacerbated the crush to get on in the first instance. It was all a bit much really. These oldie cruise goers are quite something.
