We chose this cruise because our friends invited us to sail with them. This was their third cruise with Uniworld but only our first cruise and we could not have been more pleased. Everything was nearly perfect; the ship and its crew, the cuisine, the cleanliness, the shore excursions, the guides, and the personnel. The staff were professional, friendly, and courteous. Our cruise director was friendly, efficient, and humorous. She has enough energy for three people. The meals were varied and uniformly excellent. The wine selections were quite good and the portion sizes were well chosen. The port excursions were diverse enough so that one never felt bored. We toured castles, shops, vineyards, breweries, fortified churches, cathedrals, and museums. Though they came from many different countries ranging from Serbia, to Portugal, to Holland the crew all spoke excellent English and were attentive to our every request. I would highly recommend this cruise line to anyone who is interested in this type of vacation.
