Great walking access to ship from hotel and embarkation was good. The ship was in good condition but is an older style compared to the newer ships. The cabin we had was quiet and comfortable and inside on deck 11.
Biggest complaint was dining. We have been vegetarian for over 40 years and the approach to food on this voyage took us back to the bad old days when chefs thought vegetarians ate chicken and fish but not red meat. The food options in the dining rooms were also limited ranging from passable to non edible vegetarian. Vegans would have gone hungry and healthy choice enthusiasts would have been in despair at the food choices made available. We have done many cruises on Princess and the food was disappointing on this one. Talking to the chef got us an offer of boiled canned carrots and mashed potato as an example of vegetarian food suitable on the night when we complained, wish he was joking but he wasn't as on some occasions we only had salad and cheese as an option. The supervisor offered to get us a special meal each day but that was not the point as we explained we paid the same as everyone else and main course vegetarian courses should be standard these days. The whole approach to healthy food choice was appalling on this cruise which was unusual for a Princess ship.
The veges were overcooked, no waffles and omelettes being made at breakfast. Desserts were jammed in with the other food squeezing out additional food option on the line.
Good quiet cabin with efficient professional cabin steward.
We walked into the town centre from ship and had a fabulous time at the big market and town shopping area.
Great place to tour on foot, plenty to see.
Quiet town to wander around and get fell of the place.
Spent time her in the past so we wandered around to look at some areas we missed last time.
