Our trip was the 14 day Alaska cruise.
HAL picked us up at Seattle Airport and bussed us to the cruise terminal. Very easy! Representatives were at each bag claim, and took great care of us. Embarkation was also smooth. My photo was on file from a prior cruise, so it was just a matter of verifying information, then up the gangway into the ship!
Our cabin was on the Main Deck, which was extremely convenient. Although we'd booked an inside cabin, HAL upgraded us at the last minute to an ocean view. We loved having the window! There are so many windowed public areas that we didn't miss a balcony at all, and were prepared to enjoy the inside cabin. But the ocean view (and view of the stars!) was a treat.
Cabin was spacious and tidy. Very nice to have a couch to sit on, instead of just the beds or a chair. Bathroom was roomy, with a full bathtub (!!). Not a tiny little shower stall. Fabulous! The only down side was the single electrical outlet. Well, single US wired outlet. There was also a single EU wired outlet. That made charging various cameras and devices (and hearing aids for one of us) extremely difficult. For some reason, the 4 USB adapter I brought would not stay plugged into the outlet. AT ALL. Wobbled, and would not charge. Fortunately, we were able to use the "shaving" outlet in the bathroom. Power in it was limited - two iPads at once were too much of a draw - but we made do.
The ship is nearing 25 years old. We heard onboard that it will be sold next summer.
