My travel buddy and I had a great cruise on this ship - to Netherlands, Norway, Iceland, and a day in Boston. Alas high winds kept us from tindering in Lerwick. A disappointment, but safety first. There were a couple problems with one of the engines but nothing major that kept us from enjoying the cruise. the staff was one of the best I've ever encountered on a Princess cruise. Our room steward was superb, as was our dinner waitress. The vast majority of the cruisers were friendly, polite, and enjoyable to be around. We met some very interesting people. I will say the food wasn't up to the usual Princess standard (thus giving the four not five stars). We had designated seating in the main DR but also ate other meals in the restaurants, Herizon Court, and International Cafe. The menu selections at dinner were varied; however, the food just want good. I stuff to the fruit appetizers, green salads, and mostly fettuccine with the occasional piece of beef. the excursion planning was much better than in the past ( more organized with less waiting time. I loved the size of the ship - so easy to get around. On sea days when the weather wasn't so good, it did get very crowded in all the public areas and it was difficult to find a place to sit. All in all though, a really great experience.
