We had dreamed of taking a cruise to Rome and the Greek Isles and this one fit everything on our wish list. We flew into Rome the day before to get a little more acclimated to the time change. We had arrange for private transfers from the hotel in Rome to the port. We would highly recommend this. Very efficient. We love our room which had a balcony. We had tapas in the room every day around 4:30. We also opted for the Premium drink package. My husband loves beer and there were not many choices with the regular package. The dinners in the dining room were nice, but we were not overly impressed with the selections. The crème Brule was incredible, lobster was outstanding the night they had that. Breakfast there was a eggs benedict bar that was excellent. Also the blueberry blintzes were to die for. Great salad bar with so many choices. We probably went to the dining room 5 nights out of the 10. The food at the buffet was very good. We chose to go there several nights. We would get back on the ship after a full day of excursions and loved cooling off at the Passport Bar on 3. The two Jamaican bartenders were so much fun and friendly. Then we'd head up to the Sunset Bar to watch us pull out of port. Sitting up there sometimes until the sun went down. Enjoying a drink or glass of wine while watching the lights twinkling from the Greek Isles we were passing by.

The excursions were very good. We did the Biblical tour in Ephesus. Visited Mary's house and were able to attend Mass there at a chapel. We then went to the ruins in Ephesus. This was one of the best tours and we were totally amazed. Then went to the place St. John the Apostle is buried. Would highly recommend this one. We did Mykonos on our own which was good. Would have liked to have had more time in Oia and Fira in Santorini. Did the excursion to Lindos in Rhodes. Did not spend much time in the Old City. That would have been a day in and of itself. Athens we did the tour of the Parthenon and Acropolis and the museum. This was well worth it. In Naples we took a bus to Serrento which was amazing. Loved all the little shops. Then a tour of the Amalfi Coast. It took all day but the scenery was unbelievable. If you get motion sickness easily, please take a patch or dramamine with you. We had a couple of early morning excursions, so we ordered room service and ate on the balcony while getting dressed.

We enjoyed meeting lots of people. It was just the two of us on the cruise. You had to fight for the hot tubs in the afternoon, but it was well worth it. We usually went out to the adult Solarium area. Harder to find a waiter there, but away from the noise around the main pool. We met several people who had taken this exact cruise before and came again, but did different shore excursions. All of our guides were great. Easy to understand and appreciated that we were there visiting their country and contributing to the economy.

Cabin Review

Concierge Class 1

Cabin C1

Great view coming into port. Bathroom was very nice and spacious for a cruise ship. Could have used more coat hangers. Blow dryer in room. Very quiet. The cruise was unbelievably smooth. I've never gotten off a ship before and not had that sensation of "rocking" like you're still on the ship.
