We boarded in Cairns which is where we live. We celebrated our anniversary on board.

I was quite nervous early on about booking this cruise due to some negative reviews however I was fortunately able to put this into perspective. This ship has been running since December 2015 and it carries around 1500 passengers each trip. While it is in Cairns for 8 weeks it will carry 13 thousand passengers. As you can see on this website there have only been 178 reviews since the ship started last year and of those 43% are positive. Of the negatives some are clearly offering important feedback and others IMO are being a bit picky. Due to the negative reviews I made a point while I was onboard to ask every single passenger we came in contact with what they thought of the ship, cruise food etc and apart from one passenger who's complaints IMO were ridiculous (no white table cloths in the Waterfront and not enough variety of food) EVERYONE loved it. So please be assured that atleast during our trip any early day problems have been rectified, everything was fantastic for us and all of the other people we spoke to.

The ship was a great size (not too big) it was easy to get around and find things. There was plenty of places to sit and relax or read and although it was school holidays and the ship was fully booked it never felt crowded and we didn't notice many kids. I was a little nervous about dining (due to reviews) and did take some of my favourite snacks onto the ship however my worries were unnecessary and I took my food back home with me.

Cabin Review

Cabin Balcony

Our Cabin was towards the back of the ship under the Adults only pool area. It was spotlessly clean and spacious with plenty of storage - I was quite surprised about the amount of storage. It was always quiet as there wasn't any bands or evenings planned at the adults pool area - it was used as a quiet relaxation area. The cabin was very handy to all of the restaurants and the pool area - my husband could easily pop up and make tea early in the morning in the Pantry and bring it back to our cabin. The bed was one of the most comfortable we have slept in. Air con was perfect temp. The cabin stewards Anderson and Homer were incredible and took great care of our cabin. Having a balcony was great.
