This was our second time on the Epic. In general, we have enjoyed the ship.

Most of the shows were great. The second time the Beatles tribute band played, they should have been in the Theater again rather than the little Cavern club. People were packed in like sardines. The magician was personable but not amazing. Burn the Floor was fantastic. Don't miss the Italian singer.

Our cabin steward (Roderick) was the best we have ever had. (We've cruised many times and on other lines, too.)

Port Reviews

Barcelona

We flew in to Barcelona two days ahead of time.

The people of Barcelona are warm and welcoming.

We did a walking tapas tour one night, and went to a flamenco show another. We went up to Girona on Saturday. (Game of Thrones fans will recognize spots in the town.)

Naples

We went to the island of Ischia.

It was easy to go from the ship to the ports where the ferries go to Ischia and Capri.

Florence (Livorno)

We drove a vintage FIAT 500 along the coast to the charming town of Bolgheri. We had a divine lunch with 3 different wines.

Cannes

We took a one-hour tour on Segways along the Croisette. It was a nice way to get a feel for the area.

Marseille

We rode the petite train up to Notre Dame della Gard. The church is beautiful with great views of the area.
