Chose this cruise as I had never been on NCL before. Looking at other reviews they were pretty positive. Overall there were some really good things and some really bad things about the cruise. The food for the most part was quite acceptable, with the exception of the Irish Pub...awful service and food. The Manhattan Dining room was good every time we were there. Buffet was pretty standard all the time.

Our Cabin was quite acceptable (chose an inside for value as I was flipping the bill on this one) Our cabin stewart Wayne was one of the best I've ever had...wonderful job.

The Entertainment overall was above average for the cruise ship industry. Saw Pricilla and it was better than the stage production in Toronto - extremely well done. Also say the Men of Motown, I'd say it was an average production. I don't like when the people on stage are constantly begging for audience participation, makes me nuts. One in the trio was a very good singer. The piano player at the Martini bar was fantastic as well! The band that played by Waves bar was very, very good.

Port Reviews

Rome (Civitavecchia)

The NCL excursions to Rome were off the chart expensive, so we took the train and did a Hop on Hop off...was excellent and we did it for 70 Euros for both of us. Quite a savings I must say.

Barcelona

We stayed in Barcelona two days before the cruise. Did Hop on Hop off and it was fantastic. The food and the Latin district, where our hotel was, were great!
