We were very pleased with our cruise on the Pride of America. I have to say it was much better than many of the reviews indicated. We are long time cruisers on other lines and were pleasantly surprised with POA. Embarkation was easy and fairly quick. Upon arrival we ate in the dining room. By the time we finished lunch our stateroom was ready. We had an Aft cabin and it was very nice with a large balcony. The luggage arrived quickly. We met the cabin attendant and he was excellent throughout the trip. There were lots of activities during the trip. We enjoyed the entertainment. The singers and dancers put on good shows. We saw the comedian, Jeff Harms a couple of times and he was excellent. There was a tribute for the Four Seasons, "Oh What a Night". This very good music. We liked the informality of the dining experience. The Aloha Cafe had a wide selection of items. The main dining rooms provided efficient service and good food. Overall the crew was great, friendly and efficient. The ship never seemed crowded. We had little wait to get seated. The theater is a little small but we got there about 15 minutes before and were able to find good seats. I wanted to mention that before the cruise we stayed in Waikiki Beach and had some terrific tours (Pearl Harbor, USS Missouri, Polynesian Cultural Center). During the cruise we enjoyed several tours - the best was a visit to Volcano National Park. So go and enjoy!
