Living in Florida, we like the convenience of cruising out of Port Canaveral. Being a Diamond member with RC, the Freedom of the Seas is also our favorite ship. Overall, we had a good time on the cruise and great weather and smooth seas. Since we have been to all of the eastern Caribbean ports many times, we did not do any excursions on this trip.

What we really liked about the cruise:

- Outstanding service by our cabin steward, Nas

Interior Stateroom

Cabin M

The cabin was clean and well maintained. The cabin steward (Naz) was very friendly and provided outstanding service.

Port Reviews

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

We stayed the night before the cruise in Orlando, near the airport, Great rates and only a 40 minute drive to the port. We parked in the garage adjacent to the terminal, which provided for easy access.

St. Thomas

St. Thomas is always a fun place to visit and shop. The short cab ride was only $4 dollars each way to downtown. After shopping, we had lunch at The Green House. Great fish and excellent service. Free Wi-Fi.

St. Maarten

Being here many times, we elected not to do an excursion. We took the water taxi ($7 round trip) into town. We enjoyed shopping and talking with the merchants. We always stop by the Regency Shop (near McDonalds) to shop for cologne. Great selection and excellent prices.
