Having already enjoyed the Scenic Jewels of Europe Cruise, we were more than happy to do another Scenic Cruise and chose the South of France with equally as enjoyable results.
The entire crew of the Scenic Sapphire were very pleasant, approachable, eager to please and to share their experiences aboard, and indeed Sonja, the Tour Director was absolutely tops - her sense of humour, her organisation, her personality won us all over in no time. The social life on board was excellent, albeit we had far too many late nights enjoying it all, and it was often hard to rise early to go on the tours.......the tour selections catered for all tastes and interests and there was not one that we did not enjoy. We were given a magnificent overview of life in southern France, both nowadays and of the medieval times.
On board welcomes and farewells were well orchestrated and an enjoyable experience, rather than hassles of embarking and disembarking, everything was taken care of for you. The cabins, even if a little small as would be expected on a river ship, were well designed and appointed with more than ample space for storage and in the ensuite.
Well appointed and although a little small for two people to move around at the same time, more than comfortable for the cruise, ample storage space etc, and a roomy ensuite.
