Cabin: Family Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

This was our second cruise on the Oasis of the Seas and our 18th with Royal Caribbean.

We sailed from Port Everglades on Saturday 9/17 and returned on 9/24.

Our room was a Superior Oceanview with balcony room. We were very disappointed when we entered the room as the people that had it the week before us were smokers and had smoked in the room. Naturally the curtains and bedding were permeated with cigarette smoke/nicotine. We tried to get another room but the ship was full and we realized that RCCL could not do too much about the situation. Additionally the folks on the next deck up from us smoked on their balcony! I know that smoking is prohibited in staterooms and on balconies but people just do not care about other folks. We have been on this itinerary a number of times and knew what to expect from Nassau, St. Thomas and St. Maarten.
