We spent 3 days in Manhattan before the cruise and on cruise day took an Uber to the Manhattan Cruise terminal about 10:30 AM. Traffic is pretty heavy, but it's New York, so just plan accordingly. We had stayed near Times Square so it's only about a ten minute drive to the pier. Dropped our bags with a porter and proceeded to get in line for a huge elevator that takes you to the 2nd floor. It's the kind of elevator with doors street side and then doors on the internal side. Holds at least 70 people.

Once out of it we proceeded to the priority line since we had upgraded to an ocean suite. We're not yet platinum so always wanted to see how the priority line worked. Security was very fast and then we went into a private room where two Carnival employees took our boarding passes and in about 1 minute we had our sail and sign cards.

The room had water and juices but we didn't even have time to try them because about 5 minutes after we sat down, they ushered us right onto the ship. We arrived up on the lido deck and there was not a soul there yet. Grabbed a seat and went to the taco bar and got a burrito until others started arriving. So, I will be glad when we finally reach Platinum so we can use priority all the time.

Cabin OS

This cabin is on port side and very near elevators. Experienced no problems with any noise because this room has a long hall you go down as you enter the room. The makeup table/dressing area in the OS was really nice. The bathroom has a jacuzzi tub but we never used that part, just the shower inside the tub. The tub is pretty small lengthwise and I don't think we would have been able to sit down and have our legs straight out, so didn't even try. Got this room for a $ 175.00 upgrade fee after getting a call from Carnival about 45 days out from our cruise. It was worth it because that came with Priority Boarding and the added size of the room was nice.
