The NCL Sky was chosen for our 18th Wedding Anniversary celebration due to us (my husband and I) having such a wonderful experience on the NCL Sky in July. I love every inch of the maneuverable ship. The easy excess to all venues was awesome as well as the cuisine. My favorite hangout was the Captain Cook's Bar due to the atmosphere and staff that gave me the impression I arrived at the television set of Cheers; and yes everyone knew our names. Moreover, I met individuals from all over the world and a few from local areas of Florida. The various bars on-board the NCL Sky as well as the places to snack and dine gave me room to roam without feeling confined to one particular set place to eat and drink. The service staff on deck five were helpful, knowledgeable and had excellent communicated skills without a hint of or look of being superior. I enjoyed activities such as the Currencies of the World, in Dazzle's and participated on a shore excursion to the Blue Lagoon. Our cabin steward, Mark Taype was awesome in every request that was made upon him and there were many. Being that it was our Wedding Anniversary cruise, my husband bought the Anniversary Party Package which meant our stateroom was decorated the entire time and was given a cake with plates, silverware and cloth napkins. I enjoyed this part particularly since this was a short cruise and I really wanted to enjoy our day, every day! Additionally, I felt the staff on-board the ship (including Mr. Ram, Cruise Next Director) went beyond what was expected to help make this cruise very special for us. In the very near future, Mr. Ram will be assisting others on the NCL Spirit. There was a slight mix-up on ordering the chocolate strawberries at the very last minute for our stateroom and the request was immediately remedied in such a way I could not be more satisfied with the outcome. This is when I learned the strawberry order should have been made at least 24-hours in advance before sailing, instead of on my way to the ship via cell phone. Moreover, we have decided to return for our 19th Wedding Anniversary celebration, as well as plan for additional cruises with NCL.
