Sail Date: Sep 2016

We booked this cruise tour in June 2016 because the promotions , i.e. free gratuities, $150/person on board credit and $50/person specialty dining, was very attractive. Furthermore, my travel agency gives free travel insurance.

What I love about the cruise were: (1) I commend the ship's captain, Captain Tuvo, for getting out of his way to make sure the passengers saw as much wildlife and as close to the glaciers as possible. He sent out a small boat to bring pieces of glacier ice on board the ship. (2) The naturalist, Sandra, was also exceptionally knowledgeable about the wildlife and when they could be seen. We met at the bow of Deck 7 twice once at 5pm and another at 6:30 am because those are the times when sea creatures would be in the area of the ship. (3) the cabins and closet space were spacious. (4) they have mastered the disembarkation process.

What I do not like about the cruise were: (1) the amenities indicated that the ship needed updating. For example, the towels were old and worn out. (2) the food at all dining venues were not as good as the food in my previous cruise lines. (3) there were few activities during the two days at sea.
