We booked for the first time a guarantee balcony which was taking a chance in getting a good location. Oh to get that cabin number check in online 2-3 days before your departure. The embarkation was pretty slow for us and that was a first time experience. Our luggage did not get to the cabin until 4:00 PM.

The entertainment is exceptional with the cruise director. Dr E (Eversen Bevelle). He is really a blast, out of all the cruises we have been on, this director had high energy and was funny. The safety briefing on the first day I wished we had recorded it. So dang good. Dr. E changes his voice throughout the instructions. The 70s & 80s name that tune show with Dr E was very entertaining as he changed his character with wigs to each of the singers. The Love & Marriage show was a big hit and Legends from those that participated from the audience. Comedy shows we went too was bland, but that was the PG rated ones the R rated might have been better.

We were not too impressed with the buffet dining options on lido. Tip: If you like breakfast with an omelet go to the Southern Lights Dining deck three. The lido deck takes forever to get that omelet. The lines were very long for breakfast every morning. We did not like their bacon. It was not fully cooked and had a bad taste as well. The main dining was good in Northern Lights the times we ate supper. My only negative was the flat iron steak which was like the taste of paper. We did Prime Steakhouse one night. Great steaks! Large desserts! Note there's a $35 surcharge per person. Tip: Deck 5 on sea days is barbecue day which is really good. Last night on the cruise Prime Rib is served in the Dining Rooms Northern and Southern Lights. It was just OK.

Cabin Review

Cabin 8D

The cabin was nice. Only the first night we woke to sewer smell that lasted about 2 hours. I have no idea what that was about. The beds slept comfortable good. So soft. We brought along a electric fan that also gave some white noises. This greatly helped in the sleeping. Very pleased with the cabin. Service was also good. Beds made up quickly, turn down in evening was quick and a towel animal was on the bed each night. There are cabins above and below 8395 and we were not near the elevators. Great location!

Grand Turk

Took a catamaran out to snorkel, lots of fish, nice. Rum flowed afterwards.
