We sailed the Celebrity Millenium on a 16 night transpacific cruise from Vancouver to Tokyo in September 2016. This was our 4th cruise. The previous 3 were with Royal Caribbean. We were less than impressed. Embarkation went smoothly. We arrived very early and within a short time they started processing people. This went smoothly and we were on the ship at about 11:00.

The ship is the same size and basic style as ones we have previously been on. We like the somewhat smaller ships. Our cabin was wonderful - we had never had a balcony before. By dumb luck, our balcony was twice as deep as most balconies. Only 12 were like this (cabin 6031). We enjoyed the room and balcony. The bathroom was a little bigger than we've experienced before and our shower was very roomy. Our stateroom attendant was excellent.

The service in the main diningroom was pretty good, but we have experienced better. There really was not much variety on the menu with only a few items changing each day. Portions were smaller and there was no meal that "wowed" us. The buffet was set up so that you had to go around the entire thing (quite long, in a circle). There were quite a few choices, but little changed. Many items in sauces and not very healthy, although there were some healthy choices. There was very little fruit to choose from. The buffet was very busy during meal times and it was difficult to find a place to eat, so we often ate in the Solarium. In the Solarium, there is a Spa Cafe. This is where the healthy choices are found. Two friends said that the poached salmon was very good and that the spa cafe had the best food on the ship. We ate at the Tuscan Grill one night and the food was excellent. My husband absolutely raved about the pistachio marbled creme brulee. We really did get tired of the same choices every night.

Cabin C1

Loved our cabin. We've never had a balcony before, and, while it was a bit chilly to use it much, we loved the natural light coming in and making it feel homier and bigger. We had a great view of the send off in Hakodate :)
