We wanted to see the change in color of the trees. In Florida trees don't really change color. The ship itself in very pretty. The staff was excellent. They seemed to go out of their way to help and assist in any way possible. The exception were the staff taking/making reservations at the complementary restaurants. They seemed so set that in order to eat at the restaurant you must have made a reservation beforehand even though the restaurant was never full. Royal Caribbean has announced that they will be changing Dynamic Dining to a form of anytime dining along with the classic early and late set times.
Here is the biggest reason I did not rate the ship Excellent - their version of "Fastest Internet at Sea". In my opinion and experience it is not the fastest but the SLOWEST. I measure the speed by using www.speedtest.net. The speeds on the Anthem were 0.5 mbs and 5.0 mps. The latter is called Streaming. I recall speeds of 15.0 to 20.0 mbs on other ships on other cruise lines. I vaguely recall getting as much as 40.0 mbs on (I believe) the Regal Princess. I suggest that if you are concerned about this, please check it on any ship that you cruise on. I had signed up for the internet before the cruise, I complained while on the ship and received the money back as on-board credit.
The ship itself was really nice. The staff was exceptionally nice. Very pretty decorations. The layout was easy to maneuver about. I liked the multi use of the Seaplex facility - roller skating, bumper cars, gymnastics for the kids, a basketball court where you don't have to worry about the ball going overboard or being blown by the wind.
Spacious cabin but the steward was the best part of the trip.
