We cruised the Magic last year, so when the Breeze traded out the Magic the choice was clear! the ship is identical as the ships are sister's, but the Breeze is 2 years newer than the Magic. Well the nice thing about traveling on the same class of ship is you have a good idea where everything is!! The Breeze is a nice ship, clean, and lots of fun things to do. My only real gripe is the food in the main dining restaurants is getting boring, and the items are shrinking rapidly. On night we looked at the menu, and most of the items were fish dishes! neither one of us are big fish eaters, so we went to the buffet that night instead. We have never done a evening buffet before as we were always a fan if the dining, but this cruise we opted out at least twice. One night we even paid $35 each to do the onboard steakhouse! which by the way is worth the extra money! the steak is excellent along with the service! do make sure that you reserve in advance though. We wanted to do the Italian place, but we ran out of time, that restaurant is only $15 extra per person. On sea days outside across from the Ocean plaza, and coffee bar is Fat Jimmy's C Side barbeque. We had to try it out as so many people had raved on about how good it was! the food was ok, it was a change of scenery, I thought the sides turned out better than the chicken and sandwiches. Guys burgers are good as always, often a big line because of this, but they get them out pretty fast. The cruise director on this cruise was Mikey! and in my opinion, he is the best one we have had so far! very friendly, and super hard working, he even gave us a hug when we got off the boat. We enjoyed Elek the bar tender in the Breeze bar very much! he is the face of carnival, always funny, and remembers names, and what you drink! best bar tender ever. Sadly he is moving to the Serenity area, which will take him out of view for many:( Troy the piano player was superb too, he let us and others take pics with him! always good for a song on his rotating piano! sadly he left the ship to head to Chicago the day we got off the boat! I hope they bring him back, he was much better than the other piano players we had on previous cruises. Every night a band would play above the main Breeze bar, now some of the bands are good, others a waste of time. The country couple y2kountry were super nice and played not just country, they would play just about anything you requested... great people!! the girls of String classics were good too, playing pop songs on classical instruments! they play coldplay quite a bit!! the Latin Boys were a waste of time though! all they wanted to play was salsa music, and judging by the applause in the bar area, they were not the most popular. Comedy club was good as always, but towards the end of the week, was almost impossible to find a seat in there though! beginning of the week was easy! and that comedian was excellent! sadly he left the ship in Belize to fly home too. I recommend this ship to anyone. Make sure you get a Balcony cabin though..... well worth the extra money.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin 8G

Nice cabin situated near the middle elevators on the ship! last time we were right by the back on deck 7. I liked this better, thank you travel agent. Oh the higher your deck is the quicker you get off the ship! good point to remember! the higher decks get off sooner.
