Sail Date: Sep 2016
Cabin: Junior Suite

We decided to try Royal Caribbean since there was a sailing on our actual 30th wedding anniversary and we were assured we would experience superior service compared to Carnival.

Boarding was chaotic even though we had a suite check-in. no particular lines to board and people would push through and run you over. Our room was filthy when we arrived. There were old cheerios all over the floor and an empty perfume bottle. The full length mirror had kids finger prints and the dust on the table was thick. (It remained untouched until I cleaned it all myself three days later). The bathroom did not have towels or toilet paper. At midnight when I called to get towels and toilet paper I was made to feel like I did something wrong.

One evening I called room service for a bottle of water. About 30min into the wait I called to cancel the order (It was taking so long I was getting dressed to go get it myself.) I was told they are very busy and it was too late to cancel. I was also told I was informed it would take an hour and fifteen minutes when I ordered. I was never informed it would take that long for water!

Cabin was fine after I wiped the finger prints off the mirrors, cleaned the tables and started receiving towels.
