We chose this cruise because it gave us the itinerary that we wanted and had previously sailed on the Sun Princess to NZ.
We found this cruise to be very good mostly. There was a lot of time wasted on precious hours in Darwin where the disembarkation took far too long. Another thing that annoyed our party of seven was the constant asking us to purchase the coffee card. We do not drink a lot of coffee and definitely not enough to warrant purchasing the coffee card. That also applied to waiters asking us to purchase liquors after dinner. We would like those two features of the trip to be taken out of the staff duties.
Our cabin man Gilbert was excellent - you knew he had been but he was very discreet. Our waiters on table 193 for the 5.30 seating in Traviata Dining Room (Jerrick and Ema) were sweet, polite and very efficient and had a very good working relationship.
Cabin was pretty much as we expected, clean comfy bed and plenty of space for all the clothes that I didnt wear!
We did a privately organised excursion over the Horizontal Falls which was absolutely unbelievable - have done a lot of traveling and that was up there with the most beautiful scenery we have ever scene.
We did our own thing
We hired a car and went wild flower hunting - but there was really not enough time to really see enough
We did our own thing but really loved Cairns
While we were in Brisbane we did our own thing as we know Brisbane well
we did not do any excursion whilst in Sydney - just time to fly in and embark
